The Chess Club at St. Mark’s College is a strategic and intellectually stimulating club designed to develop critical thinking, concentration, and problem-solving skills among students. Through the game of chess, members learn discipline, patience, and the importance of planning ahead. Vision To cultivate strategic thinkers and confident decision-makers through the game of chess. Mission To promote analytical thinking, sportsmanship, and mental discipline by engaging students in regular chess practice and competitions. Objectives To improve students’ critical thinking and analytical skills. To develop concentration, memory, and patience. To encourage healthy competition and teamwork. To prepare students for inter-school and regional chess tournaments. To foster sportsmanship and respect among players.
